- About God, and The Trinity
2.1 There is only one, living and true God, infinite in being and perfection, who is most pure Spirit, invisible and without the limitations of human body, parts or passions, who is immutable, immense, eternal, incomprehensible, omnipotent, most wise, holy, free and absolute, working all things for his own glory, according to the counsel of his own unchangeable and most righteous will. He is loving, gracious, merciful, longsuffering, abundant in goodness and truth, forgiving iniquity, transgression, and sin; rewards those that diligently seek him; nevertheless most just and terrible in his judgments, hating all sin, and who will by no means clear the guilty.
2.2 God is self-sufficient, self-existent, totally independent and sovereign. In him is all life, glory, goodness and blessedness. He possesses supreme authority and power to do as he pleases over all things. His knowledge is infinite, infallible, independent, noncontingent and certain. He is most holy in all his counsels, works and commands. All worship, service and obedience is due him from all creatures.
2.3 God is One and Triune, and Father, Son and Holy Spirit are distinct and divine. In the unity of the divine nature there are three persons, of one substance, power, and eternity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Father is of none, neither begotten, nor proceeding; the Son is eternally begotten of the Father; the Holy Spirit eternally proceeding from the Father and the Son.
