Some of you may have seen this important article over at The Gospel Coalition about the decline and relocation of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS) by Collin Hansen, who is a graduate of the school. Reformed Theological Seminary has been friends with TEDS for many years. Over the years, a number of our faculty have done their studies there before coming to RTS, and a number of our graduates have gone on to do doctoral work there. We wish TEDS all the best in this new stage of their institutional life. The last twenty years have been tough for accredited graduate theological education…
The Lord's Day Morning January 18, 2009 Luke 1:67-80 “The Covenant of Grace with Abraham, Fulfilled” Dr. J. Ligon Duncan III Dr. Derek Thomas: Let every creature in heaven and earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them say, “To Him who sits upon the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might, forever and ever.” Let us worship God. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, our God, Lord Jesus Christ: we worship You. We worship You in all the glory and majesty of who You are and who You have revealed and disclosed Yourself to be. We mingle our praises at the outset of our worship with the voices of angels and archangels, and cherubim and seraphim, and the church triumphant on the other side. We thank You for…
The Lord's Day Morning January 11, 2009 Luke 1:57-66 “His Name Is John” Dr. J. Ligon Duncan III Amen. If you have your Bibles, I'd invite you to turn with me to Luke, chapter one, as we continue to make our way through the Gospel of Luke together. And when he could not express believing trust in God's promise, the angel said, ‘Well, Zechariah, you’re not going to be able to speak until that baby that God has promised through my word to you has been born.’ And so…
