The Great Commission
If you have your Bibles I’d invite you to turn with me to Matthew, chapter 28. Today, we finally come to the end of our study in the gospel of Matthew, and recently as we have reviewed Matthew, chapter 27 and 28, we have seen over and over this overarching theme on the providence of God. God’s providence in Jesus’ torture and persecution. God’s providence in Jesus’ death, His burial and now in His resurrection. And even in the passage we looked at last week, where Matthew basically recounts alive, it was being spread by the guards at the instigation of members of the Sanhedrin.
