In Exodus, one of the great themes we have seen over and over, is that we are saved to worship. God not only brought His people out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, in order to enter into a fruitful land, but also to glorify and enjoy Him forever. This was at the heart of what He was doing. It's not an incidental. That wasn't a trick that Moses used to try and get Pharaoh to let the people go for a little while so they could sneak away.
