Ligon Duncan III …Numbers, chapter 14, we are in a section of the book in which we have repeatedly seen Israel grumble and rebel against the Lord. And if you’ll remember the passage that we quoted from the Apostle Paul in I Corinthians 10, this is precisely how he cites the activity of Israel in I Corinthians as a warning to the Corinthian Christians not to grumble. He cites the grumbling of the Israelites, and he cites incidents that occurred and are recorded in our books of Exodus and Numbers; and we are right in the middle of the grumbling in this book.
