Some of the things that Matthew teaches us about who He is. His virgin birth sets forth His divinity and His perfect humanity. His name Immanuel reminds us of the mystery of the incarnation. His very given name, Jesus, the one who saves, reminds us that He has come to save us from sin, save us for holiness. This week we begin in chapter 2, which sets forth the worship of that Christ.
