The covenant code of laws is found in Exodus 20-23. The Ten Commandments give us the fundamental legal principles for Israel's society, and the book of the covenant applies those fundamental principles to specific contexts of law and society and religion. Exodus 24 is a transitional passage that shows the great covenant confirmation ceremony.
