God Is For Us, So Who is Against Us? Romans 8:31-32 Please turn with me to Romans, chapter 8. When we come to Romans 8:31, we come to the culmination of Paul's argument in the first eight chapters of the book. From Romans 8:31 to 35 Paul will asked a series of four questions. And those four questions are meant to summarize the main arguments from the first eight chapters of the book. And so when he asks the question in verse 31, what shall we say then to these things, he's not simply referring to verses 28 through 30 as glorious as they are; he's not simply referring to the whole rest of the argument in Romans, chapter 8, as glorious as it is; he's referring back to the whole of the book.
