The last couple of weeks we have been launching into a study of the final section of the book of Genesis, chapters 37 through 50, and the story of the life of Joseph. And as we have said several times, it's important to note a couple of things about this section of the book. First, the story of Joseph tells us how Israel wound up in Egypt. That's so important to the fulfillment of God's promises and he had already told Abraham in Genesis 15, verses 13 and 14 that his descendants would be strangers in a strange land and they would be oppressed for a number of years.
