If you have your Bibles, I would invite you to turn with me to Matthew, chapter 26, the 69th verse of that chapter, as we come now to the end of this passage, which we have said all along is preparatory to the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every event recorded by Matthew, in Matthew, chapter 26 prepares us for what we are going to see in Matthew, chapter 27 on the day of our Lord’s crucifixion.
