This is the third and last in a short series on a brief transitional section in the book of Genesis. Moses himself begins this section in Genesis, chapter 10 which he opens with the words, “The toledoth of the sons of Noah”. The book of the generations of the sons of Noah. The book of the generations of Shem, Ham and Japheth. And that passage is, as we have already said, an expansion on a passing comment that Moses had made in Genesis 9, verses 18 and 19.
