The last time we were together in Luke we were looking at a very embarrassing discussion amongst the disciples who were attempting to ascertain which of them was the greatest. They were aspiring to positions of esteem and importance among the number of the inner circle of Jesus’ followers and Jesus interrupts that conversation and Luke draws it to our attention and He reminds them that He is among them as one who serves.
