We’re continuing to work through this book, which is the first of the Pastoral Epistles. It's written by an apostle who was a pastor, a missionary, and a church planter, to a young man who was a church planter and settled pastor in Ephesus. He's writing in the context of a congregation that was troubled by false teachers. We learned that in verses three and four, although Paul has not told us what that false teaching is yet.
